Rethink: For the sake of the environment

450 years. That's how long it takes a PET bottle to decompose in nature, where it remains in the form of microplastics. Every year, several million tonnes of plastic are thrown away as a matter of course in Europe alone. According to estimates, 4.8 to 12.7 million tonnes of plastic waste end up in our oceans every year, which is roughly equivalent to one lorry load per minute. If nothing changes, there will be more plastic than fish in the sea by 2050. This development requires a rethink and action. For our environment, for our children, for our future.

Pure Edition

Prams made from PET bottles

With our Pure Edition, we are taking a stand against plastic waste. The high-quality fabrics in the nature, avocado, coal, teddy and berry designs are based on the future-oriented recycling of PET bottles. For a pram, this corresponds to the amount of up to 100 recycled PET bottles. But how does a simple plastic bottle become a chic fabric for a pram?

Recycled plastic bottles to fabric process

To produce the fabrics, the collected PET bottles are first thoroughly cleaned, crushed and melted into granules. The granules are then processed into polyester fibres and spun into a high-quality yarn. This is then woven into the fabrics that make up our sustainable designs.

That's how many PET bottles have already been given a new lease on life
